Happy Homemaker

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Should be about 77 or so a little warmer than last week.

One of my simple pleasures:
just relaxing with my hubby and talking about nothing

On my bedside table:
Janette Oke's The Tender Years

On my TV:
nothing it is quiet right now

On my To Do List:

Laundry
Straighten Kitchen
hang out with Ashley
Maybe go to a park with the kids

On the menu tonight:
I haven't completely decided yet, but I think french toast. Who doesn't love breakfast or dinner?

New Recipe I tried last week:
Easy Chicken Pot Pie

1   bag of frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1cup cut-up cooked chicken
1can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
1cup Original Bisquick® mix
1/2cup milk
1egg
1  can of (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
**a little pit of cream cheese (optional) this just makes it creamer
** I also added some Lawry's seasoning salt and some onion salt

1.Heat oven to 400°F. In ungreased 9-inch pie plate, stir vegetables, chicken and soup.
2.In medium bowl, stir remaining ingredients until blended. Pour into pie plate.
3.Bake uncovered about 30 minutes or until crust golden brown.

This was super yummy!

In the craft basket:
some old clothes of mine I want to re-purpose into stuff for Miss. Priss

Looking forward to:
Keagan talking in the primary program this Sunday

Homemaking Tip for this week:
Pick a room a day to clean so you don't feel overwhelmed by your cleaning list.

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):

Favorite photo from last week:

I love this girl. She makes serving in Young Women's so much fun!

Lesson learned the past few days:
Children are not limited by their capacity to learn, but by our ability to teach them

On my Prayer List:
my brothers
my son - he is giving his first talk this Sunday and bearing his testimony for the first time in the primary program.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
"I have no greater joy than to hear my children walk in truth"
3 John 1:4
