The Nativity: The Second Wise Man

I come from the east,
I travel by night,
pursuing a star
in search of the light.

I'll find true yearning
when I finally see
my purpose to wander,
the reason I breathe.

I'll offer him myrrh,
a treasure from Earth, then call him my Lord,
Messiah by birth.

all of the Nativity poems are from: The Twelve Prayers of Christmas by Candy Chand
