Deceptively Delicious: French Toast with Banana Puree
2 tbl of banana puree (can also use squash, pumpkin,
pineapple, sweet potato, or carrot puree)
1/4 tsp cinnamon
4 slices whole-wheat bread
non stick cooking spray
1) In a shallow bowl whisk eggs, puree, and cinnamon together. Add the bread slices and turn them in the mixture.
2)coat a nonstick griddle or skillet.
3)When the pan is hot, add the butter or margarine. Add the soaked bread slices (sprinkle with flaxseed if you like) and cook until golden brown on the outside.
4)Serve warm with syrup and powdered sugar.
