I have decided that each month I am going to make up a book list of the things my littles and I will read that month. The books will be based upon the holiday within that month or what we are learning about that month in school. I am going to keep it themed. For the month of November we will obviously be doing Turkey/Thanksgiving themed.I have already gone onto my library website and requested most of these books. I was actually surprised how many of them have already been checked out. I guess there are some moms in my area who definitely plan ahead. I also plan to include some of the activities we do that coincide with our book reading. Anyways, I hope you guys will join me this month in reading some fun Thanksgiving themed books with your littles. Happy reading!!

Littles Book List: November
For anyone who doesn't know me, I have a confession.....I am a HUGE BOOK NERD. I love going to the library to pick out books. It is seriously just as fun as shopping. I know dorky, but it is true. I want my children to have the same love for books that I do. I want them to be excited when new books come in that we have requested. Because of this, I am constantly letting them help me pick out new ones to request. We always look at the back to the books we currently have checked out, so we can see what other books are written by our favorite authors. I believe that all children should be read to. One on One read-aloud story time is so vital to a child's development. It should be apart of every child's day. On Simple home school Jamie actually wrote a post on all the reasons why it is important to read to our children. If you haven't read it, please do. It will absolutely motivate you to read to them more. Because of this, I was inspired to add a fun segment to my blog each month.
