This morning I am going to play a little catch up with our Christmas ABC's. On Thursday, of last week, we did the letter D for Decorating. We decorated cookies (which I forgot to take a picture of) and then we decorated Christmas tree cards. We decided to send our Christmas cards to my cousin, who can not make it home for Christmas this year. We talked about where he was and how a Christmas card might cheer him up. They got really into decorating these cards for him.
We also decided to do a little Chanukah's activity. We read Chanukah (Rookie Read-About Holidays)
. We also made star of David ornaments for the tree. I had originally planned to make potato cakes and play dredel, but we ran out of time in our school day. Although it was simple what we did, I think they enjoyed learning about another holiday our friends may celebrate.
