Reading: Stuart Little Unit

 

We recently finished the book Stuart Little. It was a fun read and we did some fun activities to reinforce what we had read each day. Here is a run down of what we did:

Day 1--> Chapter 1 & 2

Activity: Talk about size. Show what 2 inches looks like (that is how tall Stuart Little is). Make a mouse finger puppet.

Day 2--> Chapter 3 & 4 & 5

Activity: Talk about New York City and locate it on a map. Do coloring page.

Day 3 --> Chapter 6 & 7

Activity: Make a sail boat and race them in the bath tub

Day 4 --> Chapter 8

Activity: Pick a character from the book and make a puppet

 Day 5 --> Chapter 9

Activity: Bake mini cupcakes and decorate them. Play mouse counting game.

Day 6 --> Chapter 10

Activity: Make cat or mouse mask and play tag

Day 7 --> Chapter 11 & 12

Activity: Find Margalo, Make missing Posters and practice writing phone #. Play find Margo game.


Day 8 --> Chapter 13

Activity: Talk about Mail carriers and their jobs. Write letters to pen pals.

Day 9 --> Chapter 14

Activity: Draw picture of family and talk about Stuarts Family

Day 10 --> Chapter 15

Activity: Do Mouse Art Project.
