Last night I was reading with Miss Priss and Bubba and I realized something. I love reading to them at night. I mean I knew it was a time I enjoyed, but last night we just had so much fun. We were reading Go Go Gorillas Go
and just had such a fun time. I love it when the illustrations just seem to come to life for them and they begin to read along with me. I love hearing giggles as we read about the characters in the story. This moment inspired my book list for this upcoming month. I wanted to have a book list full of stories that are silly, fun, and of course entertaining. Some of my favorite authors, of silly tales, are Mo Willems, Dr. Suess, Melinda Long, and David Shannon. Their stories just come to life for my littles. When we read stories, written by these authors, our quiet reading time at night is full of giggles and smiles. This is exactly how I like it to be. It is a time of joy. A time when we get to relax from the day and just cuddle together and read. I hope you all have fun enjoying these tittles with your littles this month. I know we will. :>
