I realized a few days ago that I never posted about the Princess tea party we threw for Miss Priss, in January. For her birthday she wanted a girls only party, where everyone dressed up and drank tea. Well since we don't drink tea, we went with pink punch, but she did get her girls only dress up party. She wanted to help make all the decorations and wanted to base it off of the party Fancy Nancy throws in Fancy Nancy: Tea Parties
Miss Priss just loves this book. She loved all the wonderful ideas that were shared by Nancy. We checked this book out from the library and literally everyday, leading up to her party, she would want to sit down and point out all the things that we should make. We did end up making quite a few decorations and had a blast planning it together. She got to invite a few friends and we used her own tea party set for the plates and cups. It was so much fun. She is already planning her party for next year. Below is a break down of what we did:
We made name tags using card stock and Valentine stickers I got from Joanns
We put out all of Miss Priss's dress-up stuff. When each little girl arrived they were able to choose what they wanted to dress up in. Don't you just love how Miss Priss is posing for the camera?
We had a candy necklace craft for the girl to make.
We also did design your own Tiara.
Miss Priss helped me decorate the table
and she made the rest of our apartment fancy
We decorated cupcakes and then just had fun playing.
