Garlic Butter Shrimp with Zucchini

Before I start this post let me just tell you all again how thankful I am for all your comments. I checked my mail tonight and found some wonderful comments, from some sweet friends. One friend told me how she loves all the recipes I share and how it was her favorite part of the blog. I was so sad I could not reply because her e-mail said noreply. So if you know who your are thank you, thank you, thank you!! It is wonderful to know you wonderful ladies are sharing these recipes with your families, and you are enjoying them.

It really blows my mind because I did not come into my marriage knowing how to cook. Growing up we usually had baked chicken with rice or egg noodles. This was a go to meal most nights. I loved it and never knew I was missing out. Than I married my husband, who is a meat and potatoes with a heck of a lot of seasoning, kind of man. Boy did I have a bunch to learn. He is a sweet man though and has always been encouraging. He even called his mother, while in Iraq, and asked her to help me whith my cooking. Most women would have been offended, but not me. She is truly an amazing cook and basically taught me the basics, which has completely changed the way I cook.

Well anyway now that you know a little bit about my cooking background here is a new recipe I want to share with you.

I love to make this on a night when I don't really feel like putting too much work into dinner. The meal comes out, as if I spent a lot of time in the kitchen, but really I tried very little. I think dinners like these are also great to have as a go to recipe. No thawing of meat is required, which I always love. I always seem to forget about thawing the meat out and end up remembering like an hour before dinner is to be ready. So here is how I make Garlic Butter Shrimp with Zucchini.

Here is What You Need

2 Zucchini's

15 shrimp (precooked)

1/2 stick of butter

Garlic seasoning

Here is What You Do

Place your butter in your frying pan and allow to melt.

Than add your shrimp.

Sprinkle generously with garlic
my hubby likes a lot,
but go with what you know your family will like

While shrimp is cooking, wash your zucchini and slice.
Cook in about 1 inch of water.
Cook until tender.
I like to sprinkle my Zucchini with a little bit of Ms. Dash

Cook shrimp until it is heated through and butter has cooked off

Your pan will look like this

Serve shrimp over white rice with zuchini on the side.
Hope you enjoy this recipe.
