Feature Friday Linky Party #50

Photobucket

Alright lovelies I have been dying to tell you something all week and today is the day. Something pretty stellar happened to me this week. I mean like the cherry on top to a perfect week. I am totally going to dork it up right now and I am glad to have you along for the ride. Earlier this week I got an e-mail. At first glance, I was a bit confused. I knew the name of the sender, but thought "No Way!" The name of the sender was...cough...Steve Economides. Are we all knowing who I am talking about? Only like my favorite frugal author of America's Cheapest Family. Remember I told you all about it here? I couldn't believe it! My frugal guru was actually e-mailing me. I was stupid excited. Like to the point my kids were laughing at me because I couldn't stop smiling. I briefly knew what it felt like to be a teenager and see a celebrity. I totally dorked it up. The rest of the day was spent periodically asking my hubby if a New York Times Best Selling author had e-mailed him. He would laugh and say no, while giving me high fives, hugs, smiles, kisses, all of the above. It was seriously awesome. I did eventually reply, once I was no longer flabbergasted. The ever sweet Annette and Steve Economides had heard about Blissful and Domestic. They wanted to send me a copy of their new book, The MoneySmart Family System: Teaching Financial Independence to Children of Every Age. I couldn't wait. Well that baby came in the mail today. I have already been sneaking in a bit of reading, while my littles were doing chores. It is golden I tell you! I already started applying some of their tips. I can't wait to read it all and give you a play by play. I know many posts will be inspired from this book. So be prepared ladies and gents.

So there you have it......my fantastic news, which I am thankful you all have stuck around to read and enjoy my dorkiness in it purest form. You all rock for hanging with me and being so sweet. I seriously have the best readers ever. I may not always have the best grammar, punctuation, etc. I do however have a lot of heart and passion, when it comes to living a frugal life. Thank you all for looking past my typos and seeing the love behind each post. I truly love helping and sharing. I love every comment and e-mail I receive. I love the quick notes on facebook, telling me about all the money you are saving and not spending. Every single word is read and my family is thankful you share them with us.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Now onto playing catch up. I had quite a few post that went live this week. I started a new segment. It was absolutely hubby's idea. He comes up with the BEST ideas. It is a Mommy/Wife/Lady forum. The Blissful Exchange is a great way to share ideas with other ladies out there. Stop by and give your 2 cents. This week we are talking about side dishes. What do we serve? How many? and any other fun meals tips and tricks. You can find the link HERE or in the sidebar.

I also have a great post for you on Dressing on a Budget. All my tips and tricks on how I dress on a budget and shop at thrift stores are included. Be sure to check it out. You can link up to the Re-Fashion Blog Directory as well there.

I also wanted to congratulate Diane on winning the $50 Amazon Gift Card.
Thanks so much to all who entered and Appliances Online for hosting!

Now that we are all caught up, who is ready to party?
