My Blissful Home with Joann

Welcome to My Blissful Home! A new series featuring homes from around the blogging community. These crafty bloggers are going to show us how they decorate their thrifty, crafty homes. Today we have Joann, taking us on a tour of how she has made her home a Blissful one.

Let the Tour Begin....

Hello! I'm JoAnn and my blog is SweetPepperRose.
I'd like to thank Danielle, who graciously invited me
to participate in her Home Tour Series!
So, today, I'm sharing a few pictures of my home.
My home is a combination of country and prim,
with bits of Early American in the mix.
I love snagging a good deal on an antique,
when I get the chance!
Although the dolls are reproduction, they are so pretty.

I've had my old set of Raggedy Ann and Andy for years.

And this sign is so true,
"There's No Place Like Home."
The candle holders and shelf are old
Home Interiors items that I spray painted black.
I also collect stoneware pitchers, bowls, and crocks.
My husband built this window seat a few years back.

I had to "get creative" with my berries to help
camouflage some weird wiring for the flatscreen.
I get so many compliments on my battenburg lace
curtains in my dining room.
This is the first year I've had a "year round" tree.
It's decorated with country stars
and topped with a country angel.
It's so good to have a husband that's handy
with power tools :)
He also built my corner cabinets.
I love white stoneware.
This 4 gallon water cooler was my first
large stoneware piece. At the time I thought $65
was way too much to pay.
The gingerbread clock was handed down to my husband
from his mother. It was her grandmother's.
It's missing the side pieces and doesn't keep time,
but we love it anyway.
I lucked up and found this beauty of a light fixture
at a local second hand store, which
by the way, has given me inspiration to
DE-brass my L.R. lamps...stay tuned :)
I have slowly been adding to my collection of
vintage food tins on this shelf in my kitchen.
And, although I've blogged about this cabinet before,
I couldn't resist adding in this photo of
my Punched Tin Paneled Country Cabinet.

I hope you have enjoyed this little home tour.
Thank You, Danielle!

  1. Awesome tour! Love the pieces your hubby built, Joann.

  2. Danielle, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to "show off" just a tad on your terrific site! I'm so glad you decided to do the Home Tour Series, as it allows us to get a sneak peek into our Bloggy Friends lovely homes.

  3. What a fantastic idea....sharing homes! I enjoyed the tour of JoAnn's home, plus it gives me great ideas seeing what someone else has done. JoAnn, your home is lovely....very homey (not sure how to spell that) and inviting!

    1. Hi Miss Grace! I enjoy seeing how other folks decorate, both inside and their yards, so I prefer to take the road less traveled when we go places. Thanks for taking the tour and glad you felt "at home"!

  4. I too, enjoyed the tour of JoAnn's home. Thanks for sharing it. I do love those curtains in the dining room and I also see the we collect a lot of the same things.

  5. WOW! Just a lovely & comfy home!!!!

    1. Hey Heather, comfy is right, esp in the winter when we fire up the wood stove in the den (I wasn't quite ready to photo that room) - we 'live' in my LR in the summer, and then we switch to 'live' in the den in the winter. Thanks for strolling thru!
