Thrifty Crafts: Masked Pumpkins

Hello Blissful and Domestic readers!

My name is Lori and I blog over at Thrifty Decor MomI am so excited to be a monthly contributor to Danielle's blog. My passion is decorating and I also enjoy crafts and scrapbooking. I'm looking forward to sharing some thrifty decorating ideas, fun DIY projects and inexpensive seasonal decorating tips.

Here are  just a few of my favorite DIY projects . . .

Dresser turned TV Stand

Goodwill Lamp
 From Brassy to Classy

Today I want to share a fun Halloween project with you. These are easy to make and kid friendly. Last year I made several and gave them as teacher gifts.

The Masked Pumpkin

Source - All You

Supply List:

*Plain white printer paper
*Mask Template (download from here)
*Black Felt
*White Chalk
*Rickrack - I used orange.
*Craft Glue or Glue Gun
*Black Ribbon
*Pumpkin - I used a faux pumpkin so I can
  reuse this every year.
 *Googly Eyes

1. Print and cut out template.

2. Place template on black felt and use chalk to trace it, including eye holes. Cut out mask and eye holes.

3. Decorate mask with rickrack. I used my glue gun because the craft glue wasn't adhering. Plus, you don't have to wait for the glue to dry, if you're impatient like me!

4. Cut ribbon into 2 lengths. Attach a ribbon to each side of mask, glueing ends to inside corners (wrong side).

5. Tie mask around pumpkin. When mask is in position, glue googly eyes on pumpkin.

Here is my masked pumpkin . . .

Isn't he just the cutest!!

Thank you Danielle and all of your fabulous readers! I hope you find some ideas and inspiration that you can use in your own home!
