Today I was directed to a pearl of a blog, Finding Joy. Oh my goodness sums this lady up. I was having an ok day. I was staying positive. The boy ran a fever today and I had a "seriously?" moment go off in my head. We literally just got over the flu a week and a half ago. Bills have to be paid, toilets need a much needed scrub down.... Our car has a safety recall, which has to be fixed. Thankfully nothing comes out of our pocket, I just have to sit with two munchkins at a dealership for four hours....Just normal mom stuff...no biggie right? This feels like everyday. It's far from glamorous and most times I feel more like a personal chef/driver then a mom. Then I read a blog post last night. It was exactly the reminder I needed. Life is messy. There are stresses and joys. Without the trials we go through, we wouldn't be able to appreciate the good. Everything has an opposite for a reason.
I am thankful for the reminder my Savior gave me last night. The most important work you will do in this life, will happen within the four walls of your home. What a wonderful reminder this is to me. I am imperfect...oh boy am I. Through Christ though, he will lift me up.
I'm so thankful for women and mothers. I am forever thankful for all those women in my life. You uplift and inspire me in so many ways.
I'm thankful for a blogging community, where we can inspire one another across the country and globe.
I pray today you keep your head held high. Know YOU matter and have great value in the eyes of the Lord. You are doing a great and marvelous work. Never doubt that one single fact. We live in a world where outward accomplishments are what we are judged on. Let's never forget the little mom moments that make up a life time. The drives to dance class, singing out loud in the car. Friday movie nights, snuggling on the couch. Lets not forget the "I'm sorry's" and "I love you's"...Oh and the very best "you're the best Mom". All these moments make up days, weeks, and years.
I'm thankful for that reminder.
You are amazing. You're a bright and shinning star, leading the next generation into greatness.
Always remember that...
