Homemaker Monday

Good morning lovelies! I hope this Monday brings you a refreshing look on this upcoming week. We spent our weekend watching General Conference. It was a great time to be uplifted and spiritual edified. I am thankful for the messages shared and the direction given me by my loving Heavenly Father. Today I have cleaning, laundry, baking, catch up on. I swear that to do list feels never ending sometimes...but I will take it one thing at a time, so I can carefully cross it off my to do list... it has been a few weeks since I've done a Happy Homemaker and I am happy to join in the fun again this wonderful morning. Won't you join in too?

As I look outside my window:::

I see the sun beginning to shine. It is still early, as I write this, and the littles are still in slumber. I love this quite time in my house...the time right before everything wakes up and our day begins. It is very peaceful.

Right now I am:::
Still in pajamas, snuggled in bed, with the fan blowing. Hubby is off to hunt for rocks with his brother and I am preparing for a new week. I think it is going to be a good one.

Thinking and pondering:::

About so many things......yesterday we had the opportunity to watch General Conference. It is a conference for our church (The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints). So many beautiful messages were many that pierced my heart. I can't wait to journal my thoughts and just process all the things the Lord wanted me to personally her.

On my bedside table:::

My Phone.......Mouth Guard- I am a horrible teeth grinder at night-.....and a lost drawer to my daughters jewelry box. Some how it found its way behind my nightstand. She will be happy to see it has been recovered.

On my tv tonight:::

Lately we have been binge watching Downton Abbey and Bones

Listening to:::
The whir of the fan

On the menu for this week:::

Fettuccine Alfredo, Sloppy Joes, Pizza, and a few other things I am narrowing down.

On my to do list:::
Making butter
Make banana bread- I have some ripe bananas to use up

Happening this week:::

  Lots of usuals....wrestling, dance class, Family Night, etc.

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::

I just finished this project for a contributor post at The Ribbon Retreat. I can't wait for you all to see it this week! I am gushing over it!

My simple pleasure:::

This bit of yumminess. I think I ate four or maybe five hips will not be thanking me in a day or so, but my taste buds certainly did. They were whole what, so that makes it a bit better right? I'll just keep telling myself that.

Homemaking tips:::

One load a day. This is my mantra this week. I have been slacking, which means I end up with a mountain to be folded and put away by Friday. When I do one load a day, completely folded and put week goes a bit smoother.....and hubby never has to go searching for clean underwear.

Looking around the house:::

I see some things to pick up...leftover dishes from Hubby and my TV Dinner Date. We made chili after the littles went to bed and watched Downton Abbey.
From the camera:::

I love this age! That crooked smile and that hilarious personality. She is my little Miss and I love her to pieces.

Prayer List:::
My father, who is having mother who is children who are hubby who is healing (he had a little accident at work, but all is well).....and myself as I process my thoughts of where the Lord is leading me this week.

Bible verse, Devotional:::

"Some of our greatest opportunities to demonstrate our love will be within the walls of our own homes."

 Have a wonderful start to your week lovelies!

  1. The Conference was so inspiring! Pres. Uchtdorf's and Elder Bednar's talks hit especially close to home for us after all of the losses we had last year. What was your favorite talk?

  2. Hi, conference was truly wonderful, wasn't it! I loved every minute! Hoping to link up with you and Sandra later. I love Homemaker Mondays even though I am not a full-time homemaker - my home and family are still my #1 priority! Hope all is well with your family and that your dad's surgery is successful. Glad to know your hubby is OK after his little mishap. Have a great week!

  3. A great post. I love the structure you used to write so many wonderful things. I am looking forward to conference this week :) I live in New Zealand so we get a week later than you guys. Thank you for your small insights. xxx

  4. wow those are some very powerful statements - thank you for sharing. those cinnamon rolls look devine and I tasted even more so! did u make them yourself? that's crazy wild!
