You Are His Greatest Masterpiece...

No four words have hit home like they did this weekend. On Sunday we stayed home from church. After a day of swimming on Saturday, my two little red heads woke up to sore legs and upset tummies. I think they had a bit too much fun and junk food at the pool on Saturday (they had an Aunt and Uncle spoiling them nonstop. The kids loved it!) They were feeling a bit under the weather, so we all stayed home from church. I have had Moms Night Out checked out from Netflix for the past few weeks, but have not yet had the time to watch it. I decided Sunday was the perfect day to watch it. Hubby was entertaining the kids, so I took a little bit of "me" time and popped in the DVD. I am so glad that I did. As I watched the movie I was immediately drawn in. It was funny, inspiring, and something I could greatly relate to as a busy, sometimes stressed out Mommy.

You are His Greatest Masterpiece...

Throughout the movie the main character, Allyson, is learning to let go and to be happy with the here and now. This is something I know us Mamas struggle with.... or at least I do. Life can be crazy, hectic, and sometimes quite stressful. Sometimes words and thoughts, can hurt us and bring us down. Whether they come from others or from ourselves (we are our own worst critics), they are there and they can affect us. We must always remember that we are not perfect. Not a single person on this Earth is. We all make mistakes and we all fall short. The amazing thing is though, that we can become better each day than we were the day before. If we allow the Lord to mold us and work through us we will achieve the greatness He has in store for us. He has a personalized plan for every single one of us. We are His Greatest Masterpiece, created in His image.

You are His Greatest Masterpiece...

Picture a lump of clay. At first that lump has very little shape and definition. Some may even say it is ugly and not great to look at, but things start to change when you bring in an artist. The artist can take that boring lump of clay and mold it into something spectacular. That is what the Lord can do in our lives. Without Him we are the lump of clay, with very little definition. With Christ and our Father in Heaven, we are molded into the amazing human beings He know we can become.

You are His Greatest Masterpiece...

The Lord has greatness in store for each and everyone of us. It may not be fame or fortune, but greatness nonetheless. There is beauty and greatness in the little things we do each day. God does not make mistakes. Right where you are today is where you are suppose to be. Through Him we can become so much better than we ever thought we could.

Motherhood does not have to be something we endure, but something we flourish at. With the Lord's help, we can be enough. We are enough to Him always. Our Savior is there with outstretch arms, always waiting for us to come unto Him.

You are His Greatest Masterpiece...

If you are a stressed out Mama today, know that God is with you. If you are a stressed out wife, know that God is with you. If you are a stressed out woman, know that God is with you. No matter your situation, know it can get better. We can be happy. We need to believe in ourselves and KNOW that we are enough. We are enough because God has said so.

As mothers and woman, we tend to build up the "super woman" image in our mind. Never forget that she does not exist. Satan has created her in our minds, so we feel bad about ourselves. Those dishes in the sink, the cluttered kitchen  table, or the fact that your kids just ate cereal for dinner the third night in a row does not matter to the Lord. What matters to Him is our heart. Are we loving on our children? Are we teaching them God's word? Are we searching to bring truth and happiness into our family's lives? Being a Mom is the most important thing you will do in this life. Never forget that. You are amazing. You are truly one of God's Greatest Masterpieces. He loves you and you matter to Him more than you will ever know. I pray for you all today and know you are in my heart and in my prayers. God bless!

XO Danielle

  4. Thank you Danielle. Reading this was a blessing today. I compare myself to all the other moms and their seemingly perfect FB and instagram lives, and I needed to know that I don't need to be or even appear perfect. I just have to try to do as best as I can for me and my family.
