Five Ways to Make it Through Cold Season #RealRelief #ad
Hello there Lovelies! I don't know about you, but when Christmas is all said and done, I know that another season is fast approaching....cold season. You can even stay ahead of the cold and flu bug with the Chlorasepctic Cold & Flu Tracker. Pretty cool right?  Every year our home seems to get hit by some type of cold bug. As much as we try to keep those cold germs at bay, they always seem to sneak way or another. This year though, I am thinking ahead. This year I am gearing up!

No one likes to get a cold. It is the worst right? I hate the runny noses, the watery eyes, the yuck cough, and the the sore throat! I always feel like a helpless Mama when my littles are suffering from all those symptoms. It also stinks when I have those symptoms because it makes being a Mama a whole lot harder. When that does happen though, I like to do a few things, to help kick the cold bug in it's keester. Today I am sharing five ways to make it through cold season and get your family back to feeling good.

1- The first thing we do, is start our humidifiers. Humidifiers are great for loosening up all that yuck that sets in when colds come around. We have a humidifier we found at a thrift store. We've been using it for four years and it is still going strong. We usually have the sickie sleep with that thing on for a few days, so everything can break up.
2- Another thing we do, is invest in a plethora of cough drops and throat sprays. When sore throats are rearing their ugly heads, you want a cough drop that not only soothes, but taste great too! That is where Chloraseptic® comes in. It is the No. 1 pharmacist-recommended sore throat relief brand for the whole family. Chloraseptic® Sore Throat Lozenges provide fast-acting relief for sore throats and mouth pain. It also cools the nasal passages as well! When our family is feeling like a hot mess from the cold bug, that is exactly the relief that we need! Oh and they come in a variety of flavors- perfect for picky taste buds. You can find them in Cherry, Warming Honey Lemon, Grape made just for kids and Max Wild Berry.
The throat sprays are great too! They provide direct relief, since they have a longer spray nozzle to get to the back of your throat. This really helps when sleep is evading you from a rough feeling throat.

3- The next thing we do is up our Vitamin C intake. I like to keep orange juice concentrate stocked in our freezer. Vitamin C is used to help our bodies fight off colds. It gives our immune system that boost it needs when germs are on the horizon. We also keep apple juice in food storage to drink as well. Having both of these in stock allows me to make smoothies and such for the family, when we are under the weather.

4- Taking a hot shower helps too! It is always amazing how when the sickies have got you down, a hot shower will do wonders. The steam from the shower helps breaks up phlegm, making you feeling better than ever before. I always like to have my kids take a hot shower and get cozy in warm PJ's after.

5- The last thing we do, is make sure that everyone is getting enough sleep. Sleep truly does wonders! If you are feeling sick, up the amount of sleep you are getting. Our bodies heal when we are sleeping, so the more sleep we get the better!
Following these simple steps will get you back to being a parent and them back to being a kid. No one likes being sick, so get that sleep, up the vitamin C, and don't forget your Chlorasepctic® cough drops and throat sprays!
