Oh How I Love This Boy....

Oh how I love this boy of mine. He's my oldest....the one who made me a mama 10+ years ago. I still remember the day I went to the hospital to have him. His daddy was in bootcamp, many miles away. My Mom drove me to the hospital and stayed by my side as this sweet red headed boy made his way into the world. His daddy came the next day and I will never forget the look on Jason's face when he saw his new little baby boy. Pure joy are the only words I can think of describe it. Keagan is sensitive, kind, funny, and sometimes a pessimist. He is respectful, God loving, and always an amazing big brother.

So for those trolls on the internet that feel the need to comment or email me saying I must hate my son because I don't post enough pictures of him....I say how dare you.

My kids are my world and I know if you were a regular reader, you'd know that. No matter what you say, no matter how hard you push, no matter how dumb you feel I am....I won't stop.

I am a mother, a follower of Christ. I'll never stop talking about that. I am a homeschooler and I love it! I am a provident living, budget following lady and I love that too! I am much more than the comments you make without thinking about how they can affect the person they are directed at.

Yes they hurt, yes they sting, and regrettably sometimes they make me cry, but I won't stop blogging like you suggest I should. I won't stop talking about God like you think I should. I don't blog or write because I want to gain a huge readership. I blog because this is where God wants me to be. I share His message and try to dedicate each day to serving and glorifying Him.

So good try, but it isn't going to work. I love my son, I love my family, and I love this little piece of the web I call Blissful and Domestic.

XO Danielle

  1. You go Mama! Sorry to hear there are such people out there that don't know how to spread anything but hate. You are right, as a long time reader and follower of yours, it is very apparent in all of your posts that your family, especially those beautiful children of yours mean the world to you.

  3. Danielle, I am so sorry to hear that you received such ugly emails..People can be so cruel/and that is not necessary.. I can definitely tell you love your son/daughter/and husband very much...[If your son is any thing like mine was... you can barely get him to sit still to be photographed. lol When people say those mean comments, they are to be pitted/as they don't know how to be kind, and that has to be a hard place to live.
I totally enjoy your blog, and the frugal ways that you share, your lovely family, and your love for God.. Keep up the good work, and don't cry and don't let the mean people hurt your feelings.. Sending a big ole hug and prayers for you..

  4. People who say those things are unsensitive, uncaring, & downright ignorant. I tell my daughters that those kind of people say those things to feel better about themselves. So although they directed their comments towards someone else, it really is all about them. I am sorry Danielle. You do a wonderful job and anyone can see you ate a terrific mommy.

  6. I can't believe that anyone would write something like this! I wonder where all this hate comes from?!
Everybody who follows your blog should know that you love your children!

  7. I always find it funny that people spend so much time and effort in being negative toward others. Keep on keeping on. I love reading your blog. Over the years it's often reminded me to enjoy my family so much like you do your own, and make the most of what we have similar to you. You are a great example of how to make life truly blissful and domestic, growing where you are planted and loving who you are, who is in your life, and what you have.

  8. So sorry people have to write mean things. Those are the people that are unhappy with themselves. If someone spends anytime on there blog they would know that your hubby and kida are your main focus. They will also know that you go to church on sundays. That you have a wonderful strong relationship with God. So what left God and family. Dont pay any attention to those rude people and they go and pick on someone else to they get a reaction. You have have a great mother's day with your family.

  9. I'm sorry that there you have been hurt by those comments. Please know that most of your readers enjoy your blog and pictures of your precious children.
John 10:10 came to mind when I read that you were under attack.

  10. Danielle, I'm so sorry to hear that someone has been rude enough to say such a rotten thing to you. I love your blog and have been a regular reader for years. I just wanted to say that its very obvious how much you love your children (both of them!!) AND your life with your husband. Don't let the haters win, because in the end it's more likely they hate their own life. Maybe they should search for something to believe in...

    Happy Mother's Day :)

  11. I wouldn't even address them. I read this post and thought "HUH?" It didn't even make sense to me. I'm sorry that some people are mean. I think it comes with the territory of putting yourself out there, though. Please just focus on those of us who love you. The others really don't deserve your time or attention on this blog.

  15. Seriously don't understand why people feel the need to say things like that. Would they say it to your face? Probably not. But for some reason people feel that they can be hateful when "hidden" behind a computer screen. Shame on them! Like you said, if they were regular readers, they would see all the pics you've posted of him as well as your daughter. And truthfully, why is the number of pictures you post of your kids a measurement of "how much you love/don't love" them?

Those people need to get a life-a real one. Not one measured by the number of "likes", "thumbs up", "favorites", "photos" or "followers". Don't let them get you down!
