We bought a house & more updates...

Hi there!! How have you guys been?!?! It has been forever and a day since I have jumped on this blog here and I have been missing you all like crazy. Life has just been bananas lately. Mom life has completely consumed me, which it usually does...I mean those three babies are my world, but this past year has really made me prioritize where my time is spent and how it is spent. With that being said, I had a few minutes this evening and I knew just how I wanted to spend this little bit of me time. I wanted to jump on this here blog and share a little bit of what has been going on in our neck of the woods.

First and foremost, our biggest announcement is that we bought a house! We went back and forth on whether to buy in Tucson or in Sierra Vista (both in Arizona). Hubby works in Sierra Vista, but there is a lot more to do with field trips and such in Tucson. After a lot of thinking and praying on it, we decided to look in Sierra Vista. It was absolutely amazing how everything quickly fell into place. Our house was the second place we saw. Jason and I fell in love immediately. We knew this was the home for us. It is 1,100 sq ft and is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. It has been completely renovated and we are paying less than we did in our apartment! Cheers! We just moved in over the weekend and are still settling in and unpacking. We are just loving being here.

The house also has a HUGE pantry and the kitchen has drawers people!! I know it sounds crazy to be excited about that, but I haven't had drawers in my kitchen in over 5 years! Between that and the dishwasher, I'm feeling super spoiled.

We're changing our colors to navy and red. I'm super excited to redecorate this cute place. There's some serious thrift store shopping in my future.

Oh and I snagged this kitchen mat at Walmart for under $5. I was pretty excited. I shared this on instagram and it seems a few of you got it as well. We're twinsies! :)

some other updates for the family are:

We've been field tripping more lately. Miss Tallia has become much easier to field trip with, so we are enjoying getting out and exploring different places here in Arizona.

Speaking of Miss Tallia, she has gotten so big guys! She is 10 1/2 months old and is such a gem. She is all over the place. She doesn't crawl, but is super fast at butt scooting and rolling. She babbles non stop, eats everything, and has 8 teeth! She is still nursing and has completely transitioned over to her crib.

She has also learned how to drink from a straw! :) I shared a super cute video of it over on my Instagram. Check it out HERE.

Oh and Libby cut her hair. She is seriously stunning!

Other than that, we've been swimming every chance we get and enjoying time together.

I'll try to get back on here again soon and let you know how everything is going. Thank you for all of your kind messages and comments. You guys are seriously the best!

God bless!

XO Danielle

  3. What a darling house! Looks so fun and knowing you guys - you got a smokin' deal on it! You children are so cute and that sweet baby - she is just a doll. Hope you love Arizona! We have enjoyed living here (up in Gilbert) since 2001, but time to move on (again), so we are going back "home" to Utah in July. Will continue to look for your updates on the blog and Facebook.

  8. I am so glad to see your new post. I certainly have been needing your guidance and encouragement lately. Most importantly though, I am happy to see all is well with your family and new home. I sincerely missed your posts, as I do not have any nor follow any other type of media (call me old fashioned or perhaps it's the lack of internet and data) and have really missed all of your excellent tips. Keep up the awesome work.
